In many of my pieces, I use soft pastel as a medium, which is notoriously hard to fix to canvas. Each work is sprayed with the most effective fixatif, but even that does not fully adhere the pastel to canvas. The pieces should be treated with care, as even with the fixatif, they will still smudge, if you rub your fingers against them. I recommend framing my pieces behind glass or plexiglass.
